How can I reach Vendu Rotterdam by public transport?
We can be reached by train, metro or tram. If you come by train, it is best to come to Blaak station. There is also a tram and metro stop at Blaak. You can also take the tram to Burgemeester van Walsumweg, Kipstraat or Oostplein. The Oostplein metro stop is also nearby.
Can I park my car around Vendu Rotterdam?
There is a parking garage right in front of Vendu (Stadsgarage Kiphof). Next to that, there is the possibility for paid parking on the street around Vendu.
Is Vendu Rotterdam open during the weekend?
We are open on working days (Monday to Friday) from 09:00 to 17:00. Occasionally we organise viewing days during the weekend. We are closed during holidays. Click here for the full agenda.
Does Vendu Rotterdam have multiple locations?
The location on Kipstraat 54 in Rotterdam is our only location.
What kind of goods can be auctioned?
During our various auctions, we sell approximately 20,000 lots every year. This varies from furniture, art, design, and jewellery to special collections in every area. In addition, we occasionally organize auctions with a specific theme such as wine or fashion.
Anyone interested in practical matters is at the right place at Lorentz auctions. Here we auction a wide range of products, from electronics to (garden) tools.

How can I place a bid during an auction?

Buying
Can I have a look at objects beforehand?
We organise viewing days for the Art & Antiques, Design, Jewellery & Watches and Collectables auction. You can visit us to inspect the objects up close and we will answer any questions you may have about the items or the auction.
Please note that we do not organise viewing days for the General auction. You can however make an appointment to come by our office to look at a few lots.
If you desire a more detailed description of the condition of an object, you can request a condition report from one of our specialists. You can request a condition report by filling in the contact form.
How much do you charge for the buyer's premium?
We charge a buyer’s premium of 29% including VAT for purchases at our auctions. Please note: this amount is added on top of the hammer price.

What is the payment term after purchase and when can I collect my purchased items?
We kindly ask you to pay and collect your purchased goods within five working days. As soon as we have received your payment you can come and collect your purchases.
Can my purchases be delivered?
Of course. We work together with two parties for shipping and transport of purchased lots. Click here for more information.
Selling
How much do you charge for the seller's commission?
We charge a seller’s commission of 20% including VAT for all our auctions. In addition, you pay a fixed amount of €6,- per lot for photo and administration costs (including VAT).

What happens to the objects that remain unsold?
After the auction interested buyers will have the opportunity for two to three weeks to buy any unsold lots during the aftersales. We will honour the same price arrangements that were agreed upon in the consignment.
In case some of your goods remain unsold after the aftersales, you will receive a new sales proposal with adjusted price estimates for our upcoming auctions. There are no additional costs involved in the resale of your goods. Of course, you are also free to return your goods.

When will I receive my proceeds?
You will receive your settlement between 3 to 4 weeks after the last day of the auction, only if payment is fulfilled by the buyer.
Appraisals
What are the appraisal rates concerning inheritance and insurance?
In case of insurance and inheritance appraisals you will receive a written report of the value of your goods. Click here for the appraisal rates including a report.
